Doctor reveals: 99% misuse olive oil (and pay the price)

Excess is also harmful.

Although olive oil is healthy, it is still fat.
In large quantities:

  • overloads the liver

  • It affects digestion

  • can alter the pancreas

  • promotes weight gain

Furthermore, combining it with whole dairy products, fatty desserts, or heavy meals cancels out its beneficial effect and can worsen digestion.

Quality does matter

Not all extra virgin olive oils are truly therapeutic.
The doctor explains that many are sold adulterated, filtered, or improperly preserved.

The worst quality oils usually:

  • come in clear bottles

  • Do not indicate harvest or origin

  • lack of smell

  • not to produce that slight characteristic tingling or bitterness

The case of Mr. Alfredo Paredes, from Bogotá, demonstrates this: he bought “elegantly designed Italian” oil, but stored it next to the stove without a lid. When the doctor tested it, it no longer retained any therapeutic properties.
