Tips for protecting your skin from the sun without sunscreen at the beach
Wear UV-protective clothing , such as long-sleeved shirts and swimsuits; these will be your best allies when entering the sea. Outside of the water, you can wear light clothing, also long-sleeved, as well as caps and wide-brimmed hats.
Avoid going into the sea or exposing yourself directly to the sun during the hours when it is most intense , that is, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., thus reducing the risk of skin damage.
Wear sunglasses, but with UV protection , as the eyes and surrounding skin are among the most sensitive areas to sun damage.
Stay well hydrated; this way, your skin can better withstand the effects of the sun.
Did you know why it’s not recommended to use sunscreen in the sea ? On your next trip to the beach, keep these recommendations in mind to protect your skin, but also the environment.
