“Don’t beg her. Let her go. She is a lazy and disrespectful girl. She is not good for you, my son.”
“Mama, are you serious right now? Judith, wait. Don’t go.”
“Henry, my eyes are finally open. I can’t believe you have really been trying to ruin my marriage. So all that ‘training’ you said you were giving my wife was just wickedness. And now you are telling her to leave?”
“I want the best for you, Henry. You are my only son, and I don’t want you married to a woman who cannot build a family.”
“Mom, did I ever complain to you? I have never complained about my wife to you. You asked to come and stay here for a while, and I agreed, not knowing you had been maltreating my wife under my own roof. This ends today. All this ends today.”
“What do you mean?”
“Mom, your stay—your vacation—in my house ends today. You have done enough. Let me live my life and build my family the way that pleases me. You have trained me enough. Mama, I’ll call an Uber for you now. I just want peace to reign.”
“Fine, I’ll leave. I can’t believe my own son would betray me like this.”
“Babe, I’m sorry. Please forgive me. I know I have wronged you. I let my mother treat you like trash, and I did nothing about it. Please forgive me.”
“Babe, it’s fine. I forgive you.”
“I promise to make things right. You are my first priority. I will never let my mom ruin me and my family again. I’m really sorry, babe.”
“Mama, I’m sorry for any inconvenience my mother caused.”
“It’s fine. I told you it would work, and I’m glad it did. Did she really think you would leave your husband’s house because of her? She fell for it. I’m glad Henry has now seen everything for himself. I really hope he never allows her to come here again.”
“My daughter, now you can enjoy your marriage. Make sure you don’t let that woman come and visit him again. Talk sense into your husband’s head. I’ll be leaving tomorrow. My work here is done.”
