As I arrived at my son’s wedding, he blocked my path at the church door and said: “I didn’t invite you, Mom. The whole family decided you’re no longer a part of us.”

“Mom, I proposed. She said yes.”

Ninety days.

And they were already engaged.

The wedding was set for four months later.

Too fast. Far too fast.

But I said nothing.

“Congratulations, son.”

Two weeks later, they came back.
