22 years of constipation: 13 kg of “poop” surgically removed

A surgeon removes 13 kilos of intestines from a man suffering from constipation.

The intestines of a 22-year-old man were severely swollen due to the accumulation of feces inside the organ, so surgeons were forced to remove it to end the discomfort caused by the feces that had accumulated for years.

A 22-year-old man from China suffering from chronic constipation had a 13-kilogram intestine, a weight caused by the excrement that had accumulated inside the organ.

Her intestines swelled enormously, making her appear pregnant. The surgeons, alarmed by this, immediately informed her that they had to be removed.

“It looked like it was going to explode at any moment,” says Dr. Yin Lu of Shanghai People’s Hospital.
