Mom warns others about the link between ‘fishy smell’ and melting electrical outlets

I hope we all know that carbon monoxide is odorless, which is why everyone should have several carbon monoxide detectors in their home. Most people also know that a rotten-egg smell signals a natural gas leak. But if you smelled something fishy in your home, what would your first reaction be? And don’t electrical fires smell fishy?

Katie Rose Dugger took to Facebook to warn others about the fishy smell in her home, which turned out to be quite terrifying. Katie explained that a few weeks ago, a fishy smell began wafting through her son’s bedroom. She searched and thoroughly cleaned his room but still couldn’t determine the source of the awful smell. Do electrical appliances smell fishy? Finally, Katie decided to do a quick Google search to determine where the smell was coming from.
