What the Bible says about death
In various passages, the Bible describes death not as an absolute end, but as a transition. The book of Ecclesiastes mentions that “the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it .” This idea suggests that the human essence is not annihilated, but rather changes state. Paul, in his epistles, speaks of a “spiritual body” distinct from the physical body, suggesting that there is a form of continuity beyond the material realm.

When a person dies, their physical body decomposes, but the energy that made it up does not disappear: it is released, transformed, and continues to be part of the universe in other manifestations.
